Steps to Update Virtuous Prime Custom ROM in Asus Eee Pad Transformer:
Before proceeding into the updation instructions you must root your device as this procedure is only applicable for rooted Asus Eee PAD Transformer devices.
Step-1: Download Virtuous Prime Custom ROM Package from the Must Have section to your computer and connect the tablet to the computer via original USB cable obtained at purchase time. Copy the downloaded zip files to your tab and enable USB Debugging Mode from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging. Make sure that the USB Debugging option is ticked.
Step-2: After copying is over, remove the connected USB Cable and power off the tab to enter into Recovery Mode. The Recovery Mode can be entered by pressing the Volume up rocker key + Power button simultaneously. Now a splash screen will be displayed with some white text at the left top corner.
Step-3: Now press Volume up key to boot the device in CWM Recovery mode. In Recovery mode select the options of “Wipe data/factory reset” > “Wipe Cache partition” to clear all the cache data from your device. Next select “install zip from SD Card” > “choose zip from SD Card” then locate the Virtuous Prime Custom ROM Zip file placed in your tab and select it by pressing the Power button.
Step-4: After the firmware is successfully updated, the device will reboot or land up in Recovery screen again. In Recovery mode screen select the option of “++++ Go Back ++++” > “Reboot system now” to reboot the tab. The device might take longer than the expected time to boot and display the home screen since it is the first reboot after firmware update.
Step-5: If the process gets stuck somewhere in the middle then, pull out the battery, re-insert it and re-apply the instructions again from the beginning. To confirm whether the firmware has been applied successfully or not navigate to the path “Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version” where you will discover the firmware version as Virtuous Android Firmware. If any other version is being displayed then, you have to re-apply the entire procedure again from the beginning.
