Its festive season and the perfect time when yet another update arrives for the popular Samsung Galaxy S users. The update is in the form of XXJVT 2.3.5 Gingerbread version and is the successor of its recent version XXJVT. It is to be noted that this is not the official release from Samsung and anyone from any part of the globe can proceed to apply this update with the only condition that your Galaxy S GT I9000 should be unlocked.
Applying this firmware won’t root the phone so there are no issues related to warranty loss. If you have already rooted your device from before then after applying this update, the rooting access will be revoked again.
We wont be responsible for any harm caused to your device during the updation procedure that is unlikely to happen if you follow the instructions carefully. The update procedure is only applicable to Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 phones so do not try it in any other devices as it may not be reversible and harm the device by blocking it.
You must backup all the user data present in your phone since chances of data loss or corruption are there. Having a backup can help you replace the lost data if any damage occurs. Do not use KIES to back up data since you won’t be able to use KIES after the update as Samsung hasn’t rolled out the support for Galaxy S GT I9000. Follow the link posted below to backup and restore all your data easily.
