Cheers to Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 Indian users as an all new official update has been pushed via KIES tool to manage your phone. This new firmware update is known as DDLA1 Gingerbread 2.3.6 and is the official KEIS release for all Indian users but Non-Indian users can also apply this update. Applying this firmware won’t root your phone in any manner and if you have already rooted your phone from before then the rooting access will again be revoked. Files including Boot loader, Phone and CSC are not available with this current firmware as this the leaked version of the official update.
We wont be responsible for any harm caused to your device during the updation procedure that is unlikely to happen if you follow the instructions carefully. The updation procedure is not recommended for basic users but is for advanced users and is only applicable to Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 smartphones that are network unlocked. Do not apply it in any other device as it might not be reversible and may harm the device by blocking it.
You ought to backup all the user data present in your phone since chances of data loss or corruption are there. Having a backup can help you replace the lost data if any damage occurs. Non-Indian users do not use KIES to back up any data since KIES wont detect your phone after the firmware update is over. Follow the link posted below to backup and restore all your data easily.

Once you enter into download mode connect your phone to the computer via USB Cable while keeping the ODIN opened.

It may take 3-4mins for the ID:COM block to install all the drivers hence wait till the process completes. Dont proceed to the next step if the ID:COM block doesn’t turn yellow.
In case the ID: COM doesn’t turn yellow then you need to install Samsung USB Drivers, .NET Framework and update KIES with the latest version so that the missing drivers get installed.
Step-4: Click on PDA tab and select the file named as “S5360DDLA1_S5360ODDLA1_S5360DDLA1_HOME.tar.md5”.

Step-5: Power off your device to enter into Recovery Mode by pressing Volume Down Key + OK button and holding both press Power button simultaneously.
In the recovery mode, choose “Wipe data/factory reset” > “Wipe Cache partition” then reboot your device by selecting the option of “Reboot system now” with the help of Volume rocker keys. Now choose “++++ Go Back ++++” then press power button on the option of “Reboot system now” to restart the device.
You can check the current firmware from the path “Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version” where you will discover the current firmware as DDLA1 Gingerbread 2.3.6 firmware. You can now restore back all your data that you had previously taken a back up of and also restore the APN Settings that are responsible for accessing internet.
