Cheers to all Motorola Milestone users as they can now install the latest version of ICS Android 4.0 update. This new update is the 4.0.3 version of ICS and also known as Cyanogen Mod 9 update. However it is to be noted that this is not the official firmware release by Motorola and you need to make sure that your device is already rooted in-order to apply this update. This is not the stable firmware release and there are no exact change logs of this version. This
firmware version looks exactly like the ICS Android 4.0 stock firmware with a number of added features.
Most of the features of this new ICS Firmware work except the camera and acclerated video decoding using TI DSP. Most of the Google Apps are installed to /data/vendor. If you are updating from earlier CM9 build use “rm-r/system/*” in recovery console before installation so as to make sure that you don’t run out of space in/system because of previously installed Google Apps.
