Cheers to Samsung Galaxy Y Pro B5510 users as you can now update your device with the latest version of Gingerbread 2.3.6 firmware that comes with a variety of bug and stability fixes. It is to be noted that this is not the one that is updated via KIES. You require Odin to update this firmware manually. This Gingerbread firmware is otherwise known as XXKJ2. Applying this firmware won’t root your device in any manner and if
you have already rooted your device from before then, after applying this update the rooting access will again get revoked.
We wont be responsible for any harm caused to your device during the updation procedure that is unlikely to happen if you follow the instructions carefully. The updation procedure is not recommended for basic users but is for advanced users and is only applicable to Samsung Galaxy Y Pro B5510 smartphones that are network unlocked. Do not apply it on Galaxy S2 I9100G or in any other device as it might not be reversible and may harm the device by blocking it.
You must backup all the user data present in your phone since chances of data loss or corruption are there. Having a backup will help you replace the lost data if any damage occurs. Do not use KIES to back up any data because it wont recognize KIES as it a beta version. Follow the link posted below to backup and restore all your data easily.
