Steps to Update Gingerbread 2.3.6 Firmware in Samsung Galaxy Pro:
Step-1: Download Gingerbread 2.3.6 Firmware Package from the Must Have section to your computer and extract the file at the same location. After extraction is complete, match the files with the image given below and if a single file is found missing then check with the downloading and extraction of files.
Step-2: Open Odin in your computer and enable USB Debugging Mode in your phone from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. Make sure to tick on USB Debugging option.
Step-3: Power off the phone to enter into Download Mode by pressing Q and Power button simultaneously. Once you enter into download mode connect the phone to the computer via USB Cable while keeping the ODIN opened.
Step-4: Now the drivers will get installed and ID: COM will turn yellow indicating that you can now proceed to the next step. It may take 3-4mins for the ID:COM block to install all the drivers hence wait till the process completes. Dont proceed to the next step if the ID:COM block doesn’t turn yellow.
In case the ID: COM doesn’t turn yellow then you need to install Samsung USB Drivers, .NET Framework and update KIES with the latest version so that the missing drivers get installed.
Step-5: Click on “OPS” in Odin and choose the file named as “” then tick on “One Package” tab. Now select the file named as “B7510XXKPB_B7510XXKP3_B7510XXOXAKP4_HOME.tar.md5”. After the files are selected tap on “Start” to begin the firmware updation process. It will take about 10 – 15 minutes for the update to complete.
Step-6: Wait till the phone gets rebooted after which you will be prompted to enter the Language Settings and Google Account Credentials. To confirm whether the firmware has been successfully applied or not navigate to the path “Applications > Settings > About Phone” where you will discover the firmware version as XXKPB 2.3.6 Gingerbread version.
If you face any issues during the firmware updation process or if the process gets interrupted somewhere in the middle you ought to reapply the entire updation process again from the beginning. Restore back the data that you had previously backed up so that you can use all the services easily like before.
Thus you can easily update your Samsung Galaxy Pro B7510 smartphone by following the steps mentioned above carefully.
