Step-1: Enable USB debugging in your phone from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging” and tick on USB Debugging option. The USB Debugging Mode can be enabled only after disconnecting the phone from computer
Download Gingerbread 2.3.6 Firmware Package from the Must Have section to your computer. Connect the smartphone via original USB Cable obtained at purchase time and copy the downloaded Gingerbread file to your phone.
Step-2: After copying the file, disconnect the USB Cable and power off the phone to enter into Recovery mode. Now again power on your device and press Volume Up + Volume Down Rocker keys to enter into Recovery mode.
Step-3: In Recovery mode, select “Install zip from sd card” > “Choose zip from sd card” and choose the Gingerbread 2.3.6 Firmware zip file placed in your phone. It will take about 10 minutes for the entire updation process to complete. After the updation process is complete, you will again land up in Recovery mode. Choose “++++ Go Back ++++” > “Reboot system now” option to reboot the device successfully.
