Step-1: Download ROM Manager and enable USB Debugging Mode in your phone from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. Make sure to tick on USB Debugging
Step-2: Power off your Atrix 4G and boot into Fast boot mode by pressing Volume Down and Power button simultaneously. Choose “Recovery Mode” option in Fast boot mode then using Volume Rocker keys, go to “Backup and Restore” and press Power button to select it. Next select the backup file placed in your phone to flash it.
Step-3: After the phone is updated you will again land back in Recovery screen. In Recovery mode choose “++++ Go Back ++++” > “Reboot system now” to reboot the phone in the firmware that you backed up, before installing Cyanogen Mod in your phone.
