Here we have come up with a simple tutorial on how LG Optimus Me P350 users can easily install this freshly rolled out firmware in their smartphones. It is to be noted that this is not the official firmware released by LG Electronics but is a custom ROM developed by third party developers. Steps to Update Cyanogen Mod 7.2 in LG Optimus Me P350:
Step-1: Download Cyanogen Mod 7 Package along with Google Apps from the Must Have section to the computer. Connect the smartphone to the computer in the mass storage mode via original USB Cable obtained at purchase time and copy both the downloaded zip files to your phone’s SD Card. Do not place the files deep into any sub-folder else it wont get detected in the Recovery mode.
Step-2: After you have copied the file to the computer, disconnect the USB Cable from the computer. Enable USB Debugging in your phone from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”.
Step-3: Disconnect the USB Cable and power off your device to enter into Recovery mode. The Recovery mode can be entered by pressing the Volume Down + Call Button + Power button simultaneously. If the device starts in Normal mode then re-try to enter into Recovery mode.
Step-4: In Recovery mode select the options of “Clear Storage” > “Wipe Cache Data” to clear off all cache data present in your phone. Next select the options of “Install zip from SD Card” > “Choose zip from SD Card” to choose the Cyanogen Mod 7.2 followed by Google Apps Zip file placed in your LG Optimus Me P350 in order to install all the Google applications in your device.
Step-5: After the file is selected, the firmware update process will begin and after the firmware update process is completed, the device will restart on its own or will land again in the Recovery mode screen. In case it again lands back in Recovery mode screen, select “++++ Go Back ++++” > “Reboot system now” to restart the device in Cyanogen Mod 7.2 firmware.
