Team Hacksung has again rolled out an all new update of ICS Android 4.0.3 firmware of Build 15 for Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 users. It is to be noted that this is not an official firmware launched by Samsung Electronics but is the test version developed by some third part developer. As this is not the official firmware version, presence of a few minor bugs is guaranteed. - Notification power widget is now integrated into Settings
- Reboots though not into Recovery
- Unreliable Wi-Fi on screen has been turned off

Steps to Update Build 15 ICS Firmware in Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000:
Before proceeding into the instructions, you have to make sure that you are running on XXJVU Firmware. You can check the current firmware from the path “Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version” where it will display the current firmware as XXJVU firmware. you can check the links posted below to root and update your Galaxy S GT smartphone with XXJVU 2.3.6 firmware.
Step-1: Download all the tools mentioned in the Must Have section and connect the smartphone via original USB Cable obtained at purchase time then copy all the downloaded zip files to your phone’s SD Card.
Step-2: After you have copied both the files to the computer, disconnect the USB Cable from the computer. Power off your phone to enter into Recovery mode by pressing Volume Down Key + OK button and holding both press Power Button simultaneously.
Step-3: In Recovery mode, choose ”Install zip from SD Card” > “Choose zip from SD Card” to select the ICS Package Build 15, Google Apps v7.1, Face Unlock and Google Apps Fixer sequentially one after another. It will take about 20mins for the device to update so you have to wait for the device to boot up.
Step-4: When the phone boots up and powers On, you have to power it off to enter into Recovery mode by pressing Volume Up key and Menu Key and holding both power on the device simultaneously. In Recovery mode select “Wipe data/Factory reset” > “Wipe Cache partition” to clear all cache. Next select the option of “++++ Go Back ++++” > “Reboot system now” to restart Galaxy S.
