Steps to Update Android 4.0 Firmware in HTC Desire S:
Step-1: Download Android 4.0 Package from the Must Have section to your computer and connect your phone to the computer via original USB Cable obtained at purchase time. Copy the downloaded zip file to your phone without modifying or renaming them in any manner.
Step-2: After you have copied all the files, remove the connected USB Cable and enable USB Debugging from the path “Settings > Application > Development > USB Debugging”. Make sure to tick the USB Debugging option.
Step-3: Power off the phone to enter into Boot loader mode by pressing the Volume Down button + OK button and holding both press Power button simultaneously. If the device boots into Normal mode then re-try to enter into Boot loader mode till you are finally there.
