We wont be responsible for any harm caused to your device during the updation procedure that is unlikely to happen if you follow the instructions carefully. The updation procedure is not recommended for basic users but is for advanced users and is only applicable to HTC Evo 4G smartphones that are network unlocked. Do not apply it in any other device as it might not be reversible and may harm the device by blocking it.

Lets take a look at some of the operational features that come with this firmware update.

Operational Features:

  • Bluetooth
  • WiFi
  • Carrier Service
  • GPS
  • Audio
  • Data Usage Stats
  • Touchscreen

You must backup all user data present in your phone since chances of data loss or corruption are there. Having a backup can help you replace the lost data if any damage occurs. Do not use HTC Sync to back up the data as it may or may not be able to recognize it since this is the alpha ICS release. Follow the link posted below to backup and restore all your data easily.
