Steps to Unlock the boot loader of Motorola Xoom:

Step-1: Download and install the latest Motorola USB Drivers and Android SDK from the Must Have section to your computer. After installation is complete, open the terminal or command prompt from within the Android SDK tools folder. Be sure not to select the “Shift + Right Click – select “Open command window here” ”.

“adb reboot bootloader”

Steps to Root Motorola Xoom:

For Wi Fi Versions:

Step-1: Download file. After downloading is complete unzip the file along with all the files and folders present in C:\Xoom

Step-2: Run the Xoom One Click EXE Tool and follow the on screen instructions carefully. Read the prompts mindfully after which your Xoom will be successfully rooted.

For Xoom other than only Wi Fi version:

Step-1: After unlocking the boot loader download Universal then extract the contents into the Android SDK tools folder. Again make sure that you do not choose the option of “Shift + Right Click – select “Open command window here”.

Step-2: In command prompt type the following commands sequentially.

“adb reboot bootloader”

“fastboot flash boot rootboot.img”

“fastboot reboot”

“adb remount”

“adb push su /system/bin”

“adb shell ln –s /system/bin/su /system/xbin/su”

“adb shell chmod 4755 /system/bin/su”

Step-4: Now some options will be displayed as shown below

Option 1: Push Superuser.apk in adb. Type: adb push Superuser.apk /system/app
