Toshiba Folio 100 – Tutorial to Install Cyanogen Mod 9 Android 4.0.3 Firmware

Cyanogen Mod 9 has not rolled out officially but all thanks to developers a new ICS Android 4.0.3 update is here for Toshiba Folio 100 tablet. We had already covered the deatil updation procedure on how to update Toshiba Folio 100 with ICS Beta 8 version of Android 4.0 firmware. It is to be noted that this is not the official update released by Toshiba but is the third party product.

This update comes with a number of operational and non-operational features that we will be taking a look at in a while. To apply this update you need to root your device which means that the warranty will get void.

We wont be responsible for any harm caused to your device during the updation procedure that is unlikely to happen if you follow the instructions carefully. This updation procedure is only applicable to Toshiba Folio 100 tablets that are not network locked so do not try it in any other devices as it may not be reversible and harm the device by blocking it.

Pre Upgrade Instructions for Rooting and Firmware Update

Must Have:

Download Android 4.0.3 Package

Step-1: First of all you need to root your Toshiba Folio 100 tablet and enable USB Debugging in your tab form the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging”. Make sure to tick the option of USB Debugging.

Step-2: Download Android 4.0.3 Package from the Must Have section to your computer and connect your tablet to the computer via original USB Cable obtained at purchase time. Copy

the downloaded zip file  to your tab and make sure not to place the zip file deep into any sub-folders.

Step-3: After placing the file, remove the connected USB Cable and power off the tab to boot into Recovery mode or CWM mode. In Recovery mode,choose the options of  “install zip from SD Card” > “choose zip from SD Card” then select  Part 1 Batista70 Foxhound edition custom ROM zip file placed in the tab.

Step-4: After the update is successfully done, choose the options of  “Wipe data/factory reset”> “Wipe Cache partition” to clear the cache. Next select “++++ Go Back ++++” > “Reboot system now” to restart the Toshiba Folio 100 tab in updated firmware.

In case the process is interrupted somewhere in the middle then repeat the entire procedure from the beginning to successfully update the phone. Thus you can successfully update your Toshiba Folio 100 tablet with the latest ICS Android 4.0 firmware by following the above mentioned simple steps.
