There are more than 450,000 apps in the Play Store and the number keeps increasing each day. A number of applications run in the background without the user’s permission thus makes the smartphone much slower. Sometimes these apps also collect some data in the background.
One could opt to use Task Managers or Task Killer applications available in the Android
Play Store or even some widgets to kill the running apps in the background in a single click. But sometimes this gets disadvantageous. The apps from unknown developers do not just kill the app but also some processes that are used by the app. These processes are also required for the smartphone’s normal functioning. By disabling the app, it totally disappears from the app drawer and no third party apps can execute it.
Thus we recommend users to to use trusted Task
manager applications or the default one whichever is the best alternative. Here we have come up with some simple tips
on how to enable or disable apps running in the background on ICS devices.
