Galaxy S GT I9000 users seem to be taking the lead in terms of ICS Android 4.0 updates. Here we go through the galaxy s logoprocedure on how to update an all new Build 10 of ICS Android 4.0.1 version. It is to be noted that this not a full fledged working firmware but is the test version of firmware. Before proceeding through the updation procedure let’s take a look at some of the pre-requisites.

We wont be responsible for any harm caused to your device during the updation procedure that is unlikely to happen if you follow the instructions carefully. The update procedure is only applicable to Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 phones so do not try it in any other devices as it might not be reversible and will harm the device by blocking it.

You ought to backup all the user data present in your phone since chances of data loss or corruption are there. Having a backup can help you replace the lost data if any damage occurs. Do not use KIES to back up data since you won’t be able to use KIES after the update as Samsung hasn’t rolled out the support for Galaxy S GT I9000. Follow the link posted below to backup and restore all your data easily.
