Yes here we are with the detail procedure that will enable you to root your precious tablet without any hassles and very soon you will be able to utilize various custom ROM firmwares as well as other applications that require root access. Rooting will void the tablet’s warranty so we also check out the procedure to unroot your tablet.
We wont be responsible for any harm caused to your device during the rooting procedure that is unlikely to happen if you follow the instructions carefully. The rooting procedure is not recommended for basic users but is for advanced users and is only applicable to Sony P Tablet that are network unlocked. Do not apply it in any other device as it might not be reversible and may harm the device by blocking it.

Steps to Root & Unroot Sony Tablet P:
Step-1: Your computer must recognize your tablet so we have to install ADB for that. Download the zip file of Sony Tablet ADB Driver Automated Installer from the Must Have section to your computer and extract it. Navigate to Install ADB Drivers.exe and run it to install all the required Drivers. It will take a few seconds to install the drivers.
Step-2: You must confirm whether the drivers have installed correctly or not. Navigate to “Device Manager” and connect the Sony Tablet P to the computer. Under the option of “Portable Devices” you must see “Sony Tablet P”. Right click on it and select the option of “Update Device software”.
Step-3: Choose the options of “Browse Computer” > “Let you pick from a list” > “Hard Disk …”and so on. Next navigate to ADB driver folder and select the “android_winusb” file. Next window will provide you with four files, but select only the “Android Composite ADB Interface” option.
Note: In case this doesn’t work , right click on “Sony Tablet P” in the Windows Explorer and click on the option of “Disable” to disable the MTP driver, which may be interfering with your computer being able to recognize the device in ADB. You can re-enable the driver later if you wish to by right clicking on
Step-4: Disconnect the USB cable and enable USB Debugging in your phone from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. Make sure to tick the option of USB Debugging and plug in the Sony Tablet to your computer.
Step-5: Download SonyTablet [ALLinONE] v1.1 from the Must Have section to your computer and extract it. Open the “SonyTablet.bat” file from the extracted files follow the on screen instructions as shown in the screen capture below. This process can take up to 30 minutes. To root and unroot you just have to follow the on-screen instructions in the command prompt.
Step-6: After the device has successfully rooted , it will reboot several times is quiet normal. Do not stop or disconnect your tablet during this process. After the device boots up, navigate to the applications list and check for an app called “Superuser”. If you find this application, then you have successfully rooted your Sony Tablet P.
If you don’t find it there, you must download SuperUser from the latest Google Play Store. If rooting doesn’t become successful, re-follow the instructions again from the beginning. Thus you can easily root your Sony P tablet by following the steps mentioned above carefully.
