With a full built-in projector, it sports a 4-inch AMOLED display having a screen resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It is housed within a body of dimensions 64.2 x 124 x 12.5mm, and has an ergonomic design. The star of the show is dug onto the top of

the smartphone that is a 15-lumen projector and bulb that can shoot a 640×480 pixel image up to 50 inches diagonally. Projection can be done on a 50 inched wide screen that has a dedicated projection application in it. Users can freely share pics instantly and with clarity even in outdoor environments with the help of its ultra-bright 15 lumens projector.

Galaxy Beam runs on Android 2.3 and is coupled with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. It is powered by Dual-core processor with a CPU speed of 1GHz. It comes with dual cameras that is a 5 MP rear camera with Flash cum Auto focus capabilities as well as 1.3 MP VGA camera for video calls and chats. It has 786 MB RAM and 8 GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB via micro SD card slot.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 3.0+ High Speed Version, Wi-Fi Standard of 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz and A-GPS. It supports audio files in MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA0fps formats and video files in MPEG4, H.263, H.264, WMV, DivX formats. It has micro USB ports, USB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio headphone jack.

This smartphone weighs 145.3 gm and comes with 2000 mAh battery that provides the juice for all day usage. The Samsung Galaxy Beam is expected to hit Indian stores by April this year. There is no word regarding the pricing or whether it will receive an upgrade but according to rumors it is expected to cost around 500 bucks without any contract.
