By rooting your tablet you will be able to install other custom firmwares and also customize the tab according to your wish. The need for customization becomes obvious as the device comes embedded with 2.2 Froyo version and there is no confirmation as yet from the company regarding the dates about the updation of the tablet to gingerbread 2.3 firmware.

Rooting the tablet will void its warranty. We wont be responsible for any harm caused to your device during the rooting procedure that is unlikely to happen if you follow the instructions carefully. This rooting procedure is only applicable to Toshiba Folio 100 tablets so do not try it in any other devices as it may not be reversible and harm the device by blocking it.
