Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 users can now customize their phone just the way they want to without having to wait for the trusted procedure by following the rooting instructions covered in this post. You can root your Samsung Galaxy Y on any current firmware but keep in mind that rooting would void the warranty.

Steps to Root Samsung Galaxy S5360:

Step-1: Enable USB Debugging in your phone from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging”. To know more about USB Debugging you can refer to the image given below.

Step-2: Download Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 Rooting Package to your PC and connect your phone to the computer via USB Cable. Place the downloaded zip file in your phone without modifying or renaming it.

Step-3: After you have placed the file, remove the connected USB Cable and turn Off your phone to enter into recovery mode. Now holding both Volume UP key + Center button, simultaneously press the Power button.

Step-4: When you enter into the recovery mode, choose install zip from sd card option and select the zip file placed in your phone using the Power button. You will notice that the rooting process will commence and within a minute your device will restart. Once the device restarts, your phone will get rooted successfully.

Step-5: Now again connect your phone to the computer using USB Cable and download the busy box. Copy it to your phone to install it. Turn Off your phone and disconnect the USB Cable to enter into recovery mode by holding both Volume UP key + Center button, while simultaneously pressing the Power button.

Step-6: In recovery mode choose “Wipe data/factory reset” then choose “Wipe Cache partition”. Next select “reboot system now” option to reboot your device.
