Galaxy R users welcome to the world of customization. You can now customize every nook and corner of your smartphone by rooting your device and thereby be in command of your smartphone. Rooting your phone will enable all Samsung Galaxy R I9103 users to install custom ROMs, themes and a variety of new applications that require rooting access. Steps to Root Samsung Galaxy R I9103:
Step-1: Enable USB Debugging from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging”.
After downloading the Rooting package from the Must Have section, extract it using a suitable software to your computer. When prompted to enter any password, enter the password as Coveringandroid.com
When you have extracted the files, you will come across two files named as KIES tool and “ ” that is the tar file.
Step-2: Open ODIN from the extracted files and power off your phone. Enter your device into download mode by pressing the Volume Down Key + OK button and then holding both simultaneously press Power button.
Step-3: On entering into download mode connect your phone to the computer via USB Cable while keeping the Odin opened so that ID: COM will turn yellow indicating that all drivers have been successfully updated and you are set to select files in Odin.
Step-4: In the Odin, click on the PDA tab and select the file GalaxyR_i9103_Rooting TAR_AAD present in the extracted files folder.
Step-5: Click on Start tab to begin the rooting process. Galaxy R will reboot within a minute that will indicate that the rooting process is successfully accomplished. Turn Off your phone to enter into recovery mode by pressing Volume Up Key + OK button and while holding both press Power button simultaneously.
Step-6: On entering the recovery mode select Wipe data/factory reset then select Wipe Cache partition and reboot your device by selecting reboot system now option.
To confirm whether the device has been successfully rooted or not, you will see two additional applications that is “Super user” and “CWM” that would mean successful rooting. If you are unable to see both these, apply the whole process again to root the device. You also need to repeat the whole process again if you get stuck somewhere in the middle of it.
