Steps to Root LG Optimus S:

Step-1: Download all files mentioned in the Must Have section and install .Net Framework Tools along with Visual C++ 2008 Redistribute package.

Step-2: Enable USB Debugging from the path “Settings > Application > Development > USB Debugging” and connect the phone to the computer via original USB Cable obtained at purchase time.

Step-3: Unzip the Gingersnap tool in your computer and click on “Gingersnap.exe” file in your computer to open it. An image will be displayed as shown below. Now click on the option of “Root” to root the phone and if you want to unroot the phone at a later stage, you can click on “Unroot” option.
