Steps to Root HTC Chacha:
Step-1: Enable USB Debugging in your phone from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging”.
Download CWM Recovery Image File and Super user zip File from the Must Have section and connect your phone to the computer via USB Cable. Copy both the zip files to your phone’s SD Card.
Step-2: After you finish copying, remove the connected USB Cable. Do not rename or modify the files else the files wont get detected in the updation process.
Step-3: Go to Settings page and disable Fastboot from the path Settings > Power > Fastboot. Turn Off your phone and press volume Down key and Power button simultaneously.
Step-4: Select HBoot option using Volume button after which it will display the S Off and scan the file automatically. Search for the file named as PH06IMG.zip on your SD Card and install it.
Step-5: Press Volume Up key to start the flashing process and after its done you need to reboot the phone manually. After the phone is rebooted turn off the phone again and press Volume Down Key + Power button simultaneously then select HBoot option.
Step-6: On entering into HBoot the phone will scan for PH06IMG.zip placed in SD Card. Enter into Recovery Mode by pressing Power button and Volume Key that will take you to Clockwork Mod Recovery.
Step-7: Tap on “Apply zip from SD Card” option and choose the zip file named as “su-220.127.116.11-ef-signed.zip”. Confirm your selection by tapping on “Yes”. After you have selected the file the device will reboot within a few seconds and your rooting will be accomplished.
If you land up in the recovery screen again after the installation of Superuser, the select “++++ Go back ++++” and then “reboot system now” to reboot the phone.
