Steps to Root Galaxy S2 on XXLPB Android 4.0.3 Firmware:
Step-1: Download XXLPB Android 4.0.3 Firmware Zip followed by PIT File from the Must Have section to your computer and enable USB Debugging in your phone from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. Make sure to tick the option of USB Debugging.
Step-2: Open Odin in your computer and power off your phone to enter your device into Download mode by pressing Volume Down Key + OK button and holding both press Power button simultaneously. Once you enter into download mode connect your phone to the computer via USB Cable while keeping the ODIN opened. If the device powers on in Normal mode then re-try to enter into Download Mode with the same process till you are finally there.
Step-3: Now the drivers will get installed and ID: COM will turn yellow indicating that you can now proceed to the next step. It may take 3-4mins for the ID:COM block to install all the drivers hence wait till the process completes. Dont proceed to the next step if the ID:COM block doesn’t turn yellow.

Step-4: Click on “PDA” and select the file named as “CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXX_LPB-v5.2-CWM5” then tap on “Start” to begin the firmware updation process after which the device will automatically restart. After the device restarts disconnect the USB cable and Power off the phone to enter into Recovery mode.
Step-5: The Recovery mode can be entered by pressing Volume Down Key + OK button and holding both press Power button simultaneously. In Recovery mode, select “Wipe data/factory reset” > “Wipe Cache partition” then reboot your device by selecting the option of ‘Reboot system now’ using Volume rocker keys.
