Our very own Asus Eee Pad Transformer had recently received the much talked about ICS Android 4.0 update also known as 188.8.131.52. Well now you can proceed to root your tablet on 184.108.40.206 firmware. It is to be noted that rooting will void the warranty and the only way to reclaim back the lost warranty is by re-applying the default or stock firmware in your tab again. Users who haven’t yet updated their tab to this 220.127.116.11 version of ICS Android 4.0 firmware won’t be able to apply this root.

Steps to Root Asus Eee PAD Transformer on 18.104.22.168 Firmware:
Step-1: Download Viper MOD Prime One Click Tool for Windows or Linux systems respectively from the Must Have section to your computer and enable USB Debugging Mode from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging. Make sure that USB Debugging option is ticked.
Step-2: Extract the downloaded Viper Mod Prime tool to your computer and connect the tablet to the computer via original USB cable obtained at purchase time. Match the extracted files with the image given below and if a single file is found missing, check with the downloading or extraction of files.
Step-3: Open the “Viper Mod Prime Time v4.1” tool from the extracted files to your computer. You will get to see a screen as shown below.
Press “1” and tap on “Enter” key to root your device and after the process completes the device will restart on its own. Else you have to manually restart the device to properly reconfigure the root access.
Step-4: Likewise you can also unroot the device by opening the executable file and following the on screen instructions. When the appropriate option is processed, press “6” and tap on “Enter” to exit. Now you can disconnect the phone from the computer.
If the device does not get rooted properly then re-apply the entire procedure again from the beginning. Thus you can easily root Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet by following the steps mentioned above carefully.
