Pantech, the Korean communication device manufacturer, best known cheap custom essays in the US for budget low-end Android and messaging phones are now working on developing some pretty awesome non-touch gesture technology for Android. The company hopes that this innovation in Android Powered devices will help to pull itself out from the stigma of being a low end manufacturer.
Imagine having your expensive touch screen Android phone nearby while you are working on a car, cleaning the kitchen, painting or doing anything that leave your hands dirty or wet. The phone call that you have been waiting for finally comes or your phone alerts that an important text message has arrived. What to do now??? You wouldn’t want to smear all over your precious device. How you wish you possessed those magical powers so that you could answer that call or text back just with the simple wave of your hand. No touching your phone or getting it wet or dirty. Pretty coolll isn’t it??? This is where the non-touch gesture comes into play.
The gesture recognition technology also known as Microsoft’s Kinect comes from Israel’s eyesight Mobile Technologies. Pantech will debut this technology on its upcoming ‘Vega LTE’ smartphone running on Android 2.3x Gingerbread, due to hit the markets this November. The device features a slim sleek look measuring 9.35mm and weighing merely 4.8oz. It is said to have 4.5inch display with 1280*888 resolution, 8megapixel camera along with 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcom processor and 1GB RAM. It also has 16GB of internal storage and 1830mAh of massive battery. Besides NFC capabilities it will have the gesture controls as mentioned. It looks more or less like the Galaxy S II and will be available in black or white colors.
The gesture technology allows users to control features and applications without touching the phone such as a simple hand gesture over the phone will silence incoming calls when you are in meeting, scroll between photos in photo gallery, skip tracks in media player, play “Wi Like” mobile games and many more options.
The Vega LTE is slated to release in South Korea only for the time being. But that doesn’t mean it wont ever see the light of western sun. Let’s hope they decide to release such a device into other markets in near future.
