Step-1: For Windows OS first of all download the or Motorola Drivers. Install the drivers on your Windows PC. In case of OS X and Linux OS, download Droid_Easy_Root_v7d and extract its contents using a suitable software.
Step-2: For Windows OS users, you also need to download MotorolaOneClickRoot_psouza4 to your computer. Unzip the .zip file using a suitable software, the most recommended software being 7-zip. OS X and Linus users do not need to follow this step. Goto Step-3 directly.
Step-3: Get your Motorola Droid 3. From homescreen tap unto the Menu button and got to Settings > Applications > Development. Enable the USB Debugging option.
Step-4: Connect your Droid 3 to your computer and select Charge Only mode option only when it appears on screen. If it doesn’t show up, pull down your notifications drawer to select it.
Step-5: On your computer, Windows OS users navigate inside the MotorolaOneClickRoot_psouza4 folder that you had unzipped earlier. Now run MotorolaOneClickRoot.exe and follow the on-screen instructions. OS X and Linux users go to Droid3_Easy_Root_v7d and run the file named run_to_root_your_droid3.sh. Follow the on-screen instructions.
