One Click Rooting of Droid 3 on Android 2.3.4

Motorola’s popular smartphone Droid 3 is now finally rootable. You can now get privileged access to your smartphone by following these below prescribed simple steps. Anyone who is pretty comfortable working around a computer can root their Droid 3 running on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread.

But remember to back-up all the important data in your device since we wont be responsible for any loss of data as a result of malfunctioning of your Droid 3. This method has been proved to work but chances of things going wrong are always there. So play safe and transfer all your photos, videos to desktop. Similarly sync all your contacts with Google Contacts.

Step-1: For Windows OS first of all download the or Motorola Drivers. Install the drivers on your Windows PC. In case of OS X and Linux OS, download Droid_Easy_Root_v7d and extract its contents using a suitable software.

Step-2: For Windows OS users, you also need to download MotorolaOneClickRoot_psouza4  to your computer. Unzip the .zip file using a suitable software, the most recommended software being 7-zip. OS X and Linus users do not need to follow this step. Goto Step-3 directly.

Step-3: Get your Motorola Droid 3. From homescreen tap unto the Menu button and got to Settings > Applications > Development. Enable the USB Debugging option.

Step-4: Connect your Droid 3 to your computer and select Charge Only mode option only when it appears on screen. If it doesn’t show up, pull down your notifications drawer to select it.

motorola one click rootStep-5: On your computer, Windows OS users navigate inside the MotorolaOneClickRoot_psouza4 folder that you had unzipped earlier. Now run MotorolaOneClickRoot.exe and follow the on-screen instructions. OS X and Linux users go to Droid3_Easy_Root_v7d and run the file named Follow the on-screen instructions.

By following these steps carefully you can root your Droid 3 without messing up anything. This method also works on other Droid variants as well such as Droid X, Droid X2, Droid Pro, Droid 2 Global, Cliq and Cliq 2. It is also expected to work on Driod Bionic too. So stay rooted and have fun :-)
