Steps to get Desktop Notifications from your Android Phone:

Step-1: After downloading and installing the desktop client, install the “Remote Notifier for Android”  application.

Step-2: Make sure that you have selected the same Wi Fi in your Android phone that is in your computer. T o check if this client has successfully paired up with the desktop client, open the app from Android application and select “Send Test Notification”. You will now see a test notification in your desktop like the one given below.

Once the test notification is visible, it means that the Wi Fi has been successfully configured. Next time when you receive a call or sms you will be able to see a notification as shown below.

Step-3: You can also make use of the Bluetooth system to get notifications in case you don’t have Wi Fi network in your locality. To do this make small changes in the “Notifications Settings” as shown below.

Step-4: You can also choose the notifications that you wish to get on your desktop as shown below in the screen capture and view all these settings from the “Events to notify” section.

Step-5: In case you are interested to further customize the Settings of Desktop client then right click on the application and choose “Preferences” option to get to Settings page. You can also experiment with a couple of other different settings so as to match your requirements for this notifications application.
