Folks who have already rooted their Motorola Droid 2 handset can now install the bootstrap recovery to install various custom ROMs in their handset. This recovery consists of Recovery bootstrap along with Clockwork Mod Recovery. It is to be noted that since this recovery image is not global so this procedure is only applicable for Motorola Droid 2 handsets only. The installation of recovery bootstrap with CWM can only be applied on rooted phone so you need to root your phone before proceeding into the updation procedure.
We wont be responsible for any harm caused to your device during the updation procedure that is unlikely to happen if you follow the instructions carefully. The updation procedure is only applicable to Motorola Droid 2 smartphones that are network unlocked so do not try it in any other devices as it might not be reversible and will harm the device by blocking it.
You ought to backup all the user data present in your phone since chances of data loss or corruption are there. Having a backup will help you to replace the lost data if any damage occurs. Do not back up the data via PC Suites as it may or may not detect the device after the update. Follow the link posted below to backup and restore all your data easily.
