Steps to Update ICS Android 4.0 in Motorola Droid Bionic:
Step-1: Download the ICS Android 4.0 for Droid Bionic Zip Package to your computer. Do not change, modify or rename the downloaded file else it won’t get detected in your phone.
Step-2: If you want to backup the current firmware present in your phone, download the ROM Manager application from the Must Have section to your phone then proceed to backup following the simple on screen instructions.
Step-3: After file is downloaded, connect the Motorola Droid Bionic to your computer and copy the downloaded zip file to your phone. Be sure to use the Official USB Cable that you got at the time of purchase.
Step-4: Disconnect the USB Cable and enter the Motorola Droid Bionic into recovery mode. After the device enters into recovery mode choose “install zip from SD Card” option then select “choose zip from SD Card”. Now a list of files will be displayed on the phone and from there you need to select the file placed in your phone.
Step-5: Wait till the upgradation process completes after which your phone will restart on its own indicating that you will now run on Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 version Firmware.
Step-6: If you land up in the Recovery mode again after the updation process, choose “++++ Go back ++++” then “reboot system now” to reboot the phone.
Step-7: In case you come across after turning On the device go to Recovery mode first and choose the options of “Wipe data/factory reset”, “Wipe Cache partition” then choose “reboot system now” option to clear out all data present in cache.
