Steps to Update Cyanogen MOD 9 in Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000:
Step-1: Download all the above files from the Must Have section to your computer and connect your phone to the computer via original USB Cable obtained at the time of purchase. Keep your phone in mass storage mode.
Step-2: Disconnect your phone from computer and enter into Recovery mode by pressing Volume Up + Center button and holing both simultaneously press Power button.
In Recovery mode, choose the option of “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” then choose the ICS Build package file placed in your phone. Now select Google Apps and Face Unlock files.
Step-3: After all three files have been installed successfully, choose “++++ Go Back ++++ then choose “reboot system now” option. Since it’s a whole new firmware version, rebooting of phone may take up to 15mins time.
Step-4: After the phone has successfully booted, turn Off your phone and enter into Recovery mode by pressing Volume Up key + OK Button and holding both press Power button simultaneously. Now choose wipe data/ factory reset then choose wipe Cache partition and reboot your device by tapping on reboot system now option.
Thus by following the above simple steps you can easily update your Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 with Cyanogen MOD 9 firmware. If you are interrupted during the firmware updation process, you will have to reapply the whole process again from the beginning.
