Steps to Install Cyanogen Mod 7.1 Custom ROM in Motorola Droid 2:

Step-2: Now choose “Download ROM” option and from the main menu of ROM Manager. Next select the latest Cyanogen Mod ROM version from the menu then choose Google Apps.
Step-3: After having selecting the files and the process completes, you can choose to select the “Backup Existing ROMs” then “Wipe Data and Cache”. If any super user asks for any root permissions check to “Remember” then “Allow”
Step-4: Droid 2 will again reboot in Recovery mode. In Recovery mode choose the option of “Wipe data/ Factory reset” then select “Wipe Cache partition” to clear all cache files present in your phone. After the updation process is complete, choose “++++Go Back++++” then “Reboot system now” option to restart the phone.
