HTC Sensation XL recently launched in India was branded as the costliest Android phone in the country. It is the larger version of HTC Sensation XE. HTC Sensation XE on the other hand is an upgradation of the original HTC Sensation and is packaged with some real good specifications. Both are exclusive HTC devices that share a partnership with Beats by Dr.Dre Audio system and come with special pair of headphones made by Dr.Dre for HTC exclusively. Form Factor:

The body of HTC Sensation XL is housed within 132.5*70.7*9.9mm and weighs 162.5gms. It showcases a solid built quality that is encompassed within a sturdy exterior plastic black body and has the Beats logo on its back. HTC Sensation XE is a bit lighter in weight than XL as it weighs 151gms and is housed within a dimension of 126.1*65.4*11.3mm owing to its smaller screen size. HTC has added a touch of red to Sensation XE – the four capacitive buttons light up in red, the earpiece on top is in red and camera ring on rear is also in a shade of red that makes it stand out in the crowd. Sensation XL comes with 1.5GHz Single Core Scorpion processor powered by Adreno 205 GPU and backed by Qualcomm MSM8255 chipset, while Sensation XE comes with 1.5GHz Dual Core processor powered by Adreno 220 GPU and backed by Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon chipset.

Both HTC Sensation XL and XE come with 8MP camera and a resolution of 3264*2448 pixels. Both support autofocus, face detection, Dual LED Flash, geo tagging, touch focus features. Sensation XL comes with auto-upload and HDR support on its camera. It also possess a 1.3MP secondary camera. Sensation XE has a VGA secondary camera. The secondary camera is used for normal camera purposes such as video calling by Google Talk, Skype.

Sensation XE shoots video at 1080p resolution at the rate of 30 frames per second when in Full HD while Sensation XL shoots at 720p resolution.

However Sensation XE is packed with a better processor, improved GPU, battery power and thus would make the best buy for high end and normal users.
