It’s summer and time to lick on to some ice cream. With all the major devices receiving ICS updates, now is the turn of HTC Evo 3D CDMA smartphone users. Yes all you HTC Evo 3D CDMA smartphone users heard it right. You can update the latest version of ICS 4.0.3 firmware in your HTC Evo smartphones.

Steps to Update ICS 4.0.3 Firmware in HTC Evo 3D CDMA:
Step-1: Enable USB Debugging Mode in your phone from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging” and make sure to tick the option of USB Debugging.
Step-2: Download ICS 4.0.3 Package from the Must Have section to your computer and connect your smartphone to the computer via original USB Cable. Place the downloaded firmware package in your smartphone’s SD Card and make sure not to place the file deep into the device else it wont get detected during Recovery mode.
Step-3: After copying is over, remove the connected USB Cable and power off the smartphone to enter into Boot loader Mode. The Boot loader mode can be entered by pressing the Volume Up + OK button and holding both press the Power Button simultaneously. Re-try to enter into Boot loader mode in case the device boots into normal mode.
Step-4: In Boot loader mode, select the option of “Recovery” to enter into Recovery mode. In Recovery mode, choose the options of “Install zip from SD Card” > Choose zip from SD Card” and select the ICS Android 4.0.3 update package placed in your smartphone.
Step-5: After selecting the package it will take about 3 – 4 minutes to apply the zip file in the smartphone and when the update is successfully applied, the smartphone will bounce back to the Recovery screen. In Recovery Mode, select the options of “++++ Go Back ++++” > “Reboot system now” to reboot the phone.
If your smartphone refuses to boot up, then remove the battery, re insert and follow the
