About 90% of Android users whether they are phones from Samsung, Motorola or HTC are eagerly waiting for the ICS Android 4.0 update in their phone. The Ice Cream Sandwich was released previous year in November with the debut of Galaxy Nexus as the first Android 4.0 device and since then not many devices have come up with ICS Android 4.0 version. According to Official reports only 0.6% of all Android phones are powered with Android 4.0 that clearly sends the message that still more of Android 4.0 is yet to come. We all know that Google follows the English letter trends for naming their Android firmware versions so after 2.2. Froyo comes Gingerbread 2.3 then Honeycomb 3.0 and finally Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0. Thus the next Android version will be Jellybean.

Here comes the fourth device from the house of Google Nexus- Nexus Ultima which is the first Android Jellybean concept phone designed by a certain Bob Freaking. It is important to note that this is just a concept phone and here we are only dealing with the premier. This is supposed to be the first handset made by all the four major manufacturers contributing to Android world that is LG, Samsung, HTC and Motorola. Google Nexus combines the user interface of Samsung’s Touchwiz, Motorla’s Motoblur, Sense of HTC and Optimus UI by LG.

The back of the handset is made of a certain Kevlar material and has a steel frame to protect the internals of the device. The CPU is made of Quad-core Exynos 5250 with Cortex ARM A15 MP Core and graphical support is provided by Mali GPU. It also comes with a Super AMOLED HD NOVA screen along with a 20MP camera and 5MP front cam all of which are protected with bulletproof and waterproof glass and the best part is that it measures only 9mm in thickness.

So this is it all thanks to Bob for this mind blowing concept phone and we hope that they really materialize this concept into reality. If Google can really make it happen then it would be the start of a new era of revolution. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and wait for the ultimate smartphone- Nexus Ultima!
