We wont be held responsible for any sort of damage caused to your device so we kindly request you to follow the entire procedure carefully.

Root your smartphone:
The first thing needed to backup the stock ROM is that your phone should have root access. Rooting has many advantages but the only concern is that it voids the warranty. Root your phone first then proceed with this backup procedure.

Download ROM Manager for Nandroid:
As soon as your phone obtains the root access, you are ready to begin with the process of backing up your stock ROM. Here we will be using the nandroid application for the backup process. There are a number of  methods available for nandroid and we will use the “ClockworkMod ROM manager” application that can only be used in rooted phones. Thus, rooting is a mandatory step to create a backup of your stock ROM. Open ROM Manager page and download it to your phone.

Install Recovery Image:
After downloading ROM Manager, confirm the precise phone model and install Recovery Image in your phone. Click on “Flash ClockworkMod Recovery” in ROM Manager and it will search for the Recovery Image specifically applicable for your phone.

Backup Your Phone:

After the installation of Recovery image, you are now ready to make a backup of your stock ROM. Click on the option of “Backup Current ROM” and the phone will reboot and begin the process of backing up of your stock ROM to the SD card. After the entire backup is done your phone will boot into normal mode. You can find the stock ROM backup in your SD Card under the path of clockworkmod-backup. Now, you can store this backup wherever you want.

ClockworkMod Recovery works with most of the Android smartphones, but not all. If your phone model does not appear in the list, you need to find an alternative recovery package.

Try this method: Install the Recovery Image then “Reboot into Recovery” that will eventually land you into CWM Tertiary boot menu from where you can perform the back up
